Approval for New Health & Safety Qualifications.

QA Associates continue to expand its range of services in the Fire, Health & Safety and Learning & Development Sectors with new qualification approvals:

We are extremely pleased to announce the approval of new BTECs from Edexcel:

• BTEC ‘Advanced Award in Facilitation of a Critical Incident Simulation’

The qualification will be delivered exclusively in partnership with Command Dynamics Limited is a Level 3, 40 hour qualification and is appropriate for personnel in corporations, organisations and the emergency services who may have a training role in developing operational managers meet the requirements of being able to deal with an actual or potential risk critical emergency.

The simulator and simulations incorporate the frameworks for ‘Incident Command Systems’ (ICS) and Incident Management Systems (IMS). For further information contact Gordon Gilmour on 01652 648062 or 07951 777289.

• BTEC ‘Advanced Award in Enforcing Fire Safety Legislation’

This qualification will be delivered exclusively in partnership with David Stotesbury and is a Level 3, 30 hour qualification and is aimed at developing the needs of Fire Safety Inspectors who are, or are to be, appointed to carry out the inspections and enforcement functions of Fire and Rescue Services.

New Qualifications for The Fire Service College.

QA Associates are currently writing new BTECs for fire safety courses at the Fire Service College. Delivered a Levels 2, 3 & 4, these new qualifications will be available from April 2007.

Fire Service College Approved Centre.

From April 2007 QA Asssociates will be the BTEC ‘approved centre’ for the Fire Service College, Fire & Community Safety Section. QA Associates will be responsible for the quality assurance of over 19 BTEC qualifications at level 3 & 4 in this sector.
